​We understand that every child is unique, and our assessment process is designed to explore their strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world with care and respect.

 

An example of a Child Diagnostic assessment may include the following components

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Interview – (Approx. 2 hours)

This session can be held in person or online, depending on what works best for you. We will take time to talk through your child’s developmental history, current experiences, and complete some questionnaires together to guide the process. ​

 

🧠 Cognitive Assessment * if needed – (Approx. 2 hours)

Your child will complete a one-on-one session with us, where we explore how they think and learn. This helps us understand their learning strengths and any areas where support may be helpful. ​

 

🌟 Behavioural & Social Assessment * if needed – (Approx. 2 hours)

This session focuses on your child’s social communication, sensory profile, and everyday behaviours, giving us insights into how they experience and engage with the world around them. ​

 

📚 As part of the process, we will also send questionnaires to your child’s teacher, to gain insight from the school environment. In some cases, a phone call or school observation may be recommended to build a fuller picture. Please note that observations may incur an additional fee, which we will discuss with you in advance.

 

📝 A comprehensive report is included after the feedback session, which brings all the information together and supports you in understanding the next steps for your child.
